Painting and wallcovering company Cochran & Mann won platinum in the Digital Marketing Campaign category of the Hermes Creative Awards. Throughout 2021, Illumine8 helped Cochran & Mann celebrate 30 years as a successful family-owned business with an award-winning anniversary campaign centered around an insightful content strategy.

The Hermes Creative Awards is an international competition that “honors the messengers and creators of the information revolution.” They recognize the creative professionals who bring their marketing efforts to life through traditional and digital platforms. The submissions from small-sized to Fortune 500 companies alike are judged by members of the Association of Marketing & Communication Professionals.

Cochran & Mann and Illumine8 are honored to receive recognition for their campaign efforts.

Cochran & Mann 30th Anniversary Campaign

For 30 years, Cochran & Mann has embodied a culture of family values: reliability, quality, permanence, and a love for not only what you do but the community you serve. To help them celebrate the anniversary, Illumine8 launched a year-long campaign to connect the dots between Cochran & Mann’s business values and history of performance. The campaign centered around each color present in their logo and what values those colors represent:

  • Light Blue = Reliability, Friendliness & Strength
  • Green = Quality, Growth, & New Beginnings 
  • Yellow = Permanence, Happiness & Hope
  • Red = Love, Passion & Community

Anniversary content published throughout the year supported these themes and how Cochran & Mann has exemplified each of them. For light blue, Cochran & Mann published a Lessons in Partnership blog accompanied by video interviews with the partners. Cochran & Mann By The Numbers blog and its accompanying infographic depicts the deep history of expertise and represents the green theme.

The Investing in the Community blog describes ways in which Cochran & Mann has given back to the supportive community around them and represents the red theme. And finally, a Calculating the Long-Term Value of Your Commercial Paint and Wallcovering Investment guide represents the yellow theme.
